We did some work on the house today and pulled this 1948 newspaper out of the chimney.
The caption says, "'He better not laugh!' Mrs. Harvey Persons, left, one of a group of five Atlanta women who took up the study of millinery 'because our menfolk made fun of our hats,' models her latest creation.
